My Favourite Game is Football Essay

Playing games are very important for our health. It keeps us fit. It keeps us away from diseases. A physical hobby is essential for us. The doctor recommends it to have a physical hobby. Children like to play many games, such as basketball, cricket, Tennis, football, badminton, etc. Pakistan's national game is Hockey, but people craze cricket. Many people have it as a hobby. But my favorite is football.

I liked cricket when I was a kid, but I was not good at all. So I play football. Football was new to me in class 4. I did not play well in the beginning. But I like football to play very much. So I started practicing it. So I began to play it well.

In class 5, I became the captain of my class football team. I was so excited to become captain at that time. I learned a lot about football with time.

Players in Games:

The total number of players in football is 22. Each team has 11 players. These players play the ball with their legs only. They have to throw the ball into the opposing team's goal. Football is not like cricket. The weather doesn't matter in football. Therefore, players can play all year round.

Game of stamina:

It is a game of stamina. Players need to run on the field throughout the match for 90 minutes. There is a time separation because 90 minutes is too much to run on and on. There are two halves. The first one takes 45 minutes, and the second half is 45 minutes too.

Rules of Football:

Football also has rules and regulations like other games. The first rule is no player can touch the ball with a hand. If any player the ball touches by the hand of then the other team gets a free-kick. There is a small area near the goalpost. 'D' is the name of that region. The 'D' boundary is at least 10 yards from the goalpost. If the player touches the ball there, the opposing team gets a penalty.

The second important rule is the Offside Rule. According to this rule, if a player crosses the defensive line, it becomes offside. If you're a true football fan, you should know what defenders are.

In football, the players are into three subcategories. The first category is Forward. Forward are players who put the ball in the net of the goalpost of the opposite team. The second category is a Midfielder. Midfielders are players who pass the ball to the forward player. The third category is the defenders. Defenders stop the other team players from putting the ball in the goalpost.

Moreover, all the players play on the field for 90 minutes. There are also substitute players. Football is a harsh game. When a player gets injured, the substitute takes their place for the rest of the game.

Furthermore, there is a referee on the field. When any player commits a foul, the referee blows his whistle and stops the game. The referee then gives a penalty or free kick to the fouled team from the opposite team.

In addition, if a player injures and fouls the other team player, the referee gives him a Yellow or Red Card. The yellow card is a warning card. The red card is a suspension card, which suspends the player for the rest of the game.
